Ze'ev Shaked, PhD
President & CEO
Dr. Shaked has extensive managerial and pharmaceutical product development experience in commercializing biologics and conventional drugs. Before co-founding Evestra, he was President and CEO of Spherics, Inc. Prior to Spherics, as former President of ILEX Products, Inc. and Chief Operating Officer of ILEX Oncology, Inc., where he helped to reshape the product pipeline and led the product development team. He obtained his Ph.D. in organic and applied biochemistry from MIT.
Karrin Eggenreich, PhD
VP of Pharmaceutical Development and Manufacturing
Dr. Karin Eggenreich has been part of Evestra since June 2018 where she oversees all pharmaceutical development, manufacturing and Quality Control functions. Karin completed her PhD in biopharmaceutics and analytical method development from the University of Graz (Austria) in 2003 and her Master of Pharmacy in Analytical Sciences from the University of Graz (Austria) in 2001, both with the honors of Magna Cum Laude and with Merit Scholarship of the Faculty of Natural Sciences in 1998 and 1999 for outstanding academic performances.
Director of Business Operations
Rebecca Huff joined Evestra, Inc in early 2018 where she oversees all finance, HR and administrative functions. Prior to Evestra, Rebecca spent several years in school finance where she gained a thorough understanding in fund accounting and grant compliance and reporting. Rebecca completed her Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Maryland – RH Smith School of Business in 2016. She received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Mount Saint Mary College in 2011 and graduated with the honors of Magna Cum Laude.
Hareesh Nair, PhD
Director of Translational Research
Dr. Nair joined Evestra in 2013 as senior scientist and now serves as Director for Translational Research and External Innovation since 2019. During his tenure at Evestra, Dr. Nair’s expertise in oncology and women’s health, as well as his experience across biological modalities and therapeutic areas, have helped fuel the growth of the company’s women’s health and oncology pipeline. Dr. Nair received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the Mahatma Gandhi University, India and postdoctoral training from the University of Pittsburgh.
